Google Search Appliance and Organic Search

Any benefit to organic search from using it?

We are planning to use the Google Search Appliance for a client, and I wanted to know if this has benefits to a site's organic listings in Google SERPs? In other words, would this maybe create a public index that Google itself will crawl?

Any thoughts?
