For about 1,5 months we launched a new site with a new domain. I have used googles "addurl", made two links from two other sites with PR3 that points to our new site but google wont index me!. I made the links with only dots as link from our other sites so that the users wont see the link. can that bee a problem or dosent it matter?

Any idea what more i can do to get indexed?

thanks for any advice!

Hi there,

If you only used text dots as your link text (anchor text) Google may just ignore it!

You may like to check your server logs to see if google has recently crawled the pages your links are on but I'd reccommend adding more than just a dot. Perhaps an inconspicous small text link at the very bottom of your page would be a better solution.

I've had good success using images as well as opposed to "dots" as well as text links.

Google can detect content that has been "hidden" from visitors (single pixel image links, fullstop links, text same colour as background links) and either ignores it or issues some sort of penalty.

Re-do the links using a couple of words instead, then wait up to three months for Google to list you. You might already have blown it (hence the recommendation for the longer wait).
