No Backlinks Shown in Google link: Search

Approx 10-20 links from PR4+ websites but none show up.

Hi,

I have approx 10-20 links from PR4+ websites but none show up as backlinks when I use the link: query on Google. Some of these links are very established and have been around months. I also have noticed that my PR has been reduced to PR2 for PR3 in Dec. I don't know why this is - is there any one I can contact at Google? I emailed googlebot adress but got a stock answer.

I don't cloak, don't link to bad neighbourhoods, don't over optimise, I don't have affiliate links. I can't see what I am doing wrong!

Any help is much appreciated.

I have a similiar problem, Alta Vista and others show 160 links. I also have about 30 recip links.

Me too. Google's either tightened the requirements severely for a clean link or it's all temporary from the update.
Strangely, my pr has fallen two points, but my serps have greatly increased!

If your own PR is under 4, you likely will not have any backlinks showing. This used to be a solid rule but is more hit and miss now.

I have also sites with many backlinks PR=>4
google don't show backlinks so the sites have PR=0 .

Same here. Spent all of Oct and Nov getting backward links only to find none listed when I check in google and now my page rankings have all dropped by 1.

What is going on?

For me it takes up to 3 months till a backlink is shown, even from high PR sites. October should be in now, if not give G another update. If not it might be possible that the links don't count. (Happens sometimes)

Do you still rank for search terms?

If you do who cares what your TBPR is or how many backlinks you have. Chances are it is an across the board thing.
