Hi All

There really seems to be a flurry of activity after the past Google update. Hop everyone is still breathing.

Here is my problem:

We redesigned our homepage just over 2 months ago, before we redesigned the homepage we had PR6 now we have a PR0.
I understand that it takes some time to be indexed after a change but 2 months?

The other issue might be that the url of the homepage changed although it all redirects to the same place.

I am trying to convince my boss that this is not the most crucial aspect of our Search Engine marketing as our deeper pages (two quite significant ones) have a PR of 5 and 4 respectively.

Finally is there someone at Google who I can contact who could offer assistance on this - will they reply to the email if I send one?

I would apppreciate any assistance on our situation.

Thanks

Cyanic

I have seen this before and usually after an hour it bumps back up again.

PR has nothing to do with the content in a page, whether redisgn it many times. It is about links.

Yes this is the problem, once you redirect it, the pr get lost, so all you can do is wait. I hope you have done the right kind of redirect.

And truly pr is not everything, this just helps to get better links.
