How do you think SafeSearch Filtering works?

Since the Florida update I have been examining the log files.
People are getting to one of my hobby sites by using adult keywords. The subject of the web site is a male comedian that happens to have a first and last name that can both be adult slang terms.

The keywords used are not the actors last name but a synonym for it. Which is strange in itself.

I started to search using the term to understand what was happening. (The term describes two females that are attracted to each other)

Much to my surprise there are very few porn sites in the top 10 results for this term. I even removed filtering from the results.

How dooes google differentiate porn from associations and organizations?
