Hi

I have added some new keyword rich pages to my site (PR5) but google gives them a rank of 0 though I know google has crawled my site, why would this be?
These pages are linked to from my index page and site map which both have PR5. Do I need backward links to these pages specifically or has google not indexed these pages properly yet?

thx

It takes a while for the PR to show up. My advice would be to wait.

Yah, sometimes it takes a while for PR to show up. Just gotta be patient. My best advice is to spend less time worrying about PR or what the toolbar shows and more time checking your logs; you want to know what keywords people are already using to find your site. Good luck!

for me my first page (homepage) got pr of 2 after a month and none of the other pages showed a pr. After a month my homepage pr remains 2 but the first level pages got a pr of 2. Then after another month (that is this time update) , my hompage got a pr of 6 and the first level got a pr of 5 and some second level pr of 4.

So wait and and see, and do the basics.

I have found on ceratin ocassions that 1 mth later the backlinks will show up, and then another month before PR is shown.

but stick to what GG said, worry about what traffic is coming, and more importantly what is conversting.

NO good having a PR9 site/page if its non relevant traffic.

attention is in the detail...

GoogleGuy --- I have sites that have been PR0 with no backlinks for nearly 6 months now, even though they have inbound links. Will they ever get some pagerank? I'm wondering if I'm suffering due to penalties from the previous owner.

published a site 4 weeks ago, now index is pr3 and most internal sites pr 2, and it is placed well in most target areas in google, so sometimes i goes quite fast, and i also see changes in pr in my other sites in other areas
