Using ODP Data and Google

How does Google respond

Hoping someone can offer a bit of advice:

I will be expanding my website by providing a directory of sites taken from the ODP.

Whilst I am using ODP data the pages won't be direct clones. I may change the link text and add unique content to each page of about 200 words. I will be also be limiting my ODP use to 200 words on each page.

Will Google index this content? - will it be good for my website (i.e more pages added) or can I get banned for this kinda thing?

I'd appreciate any help on this.

Cheers.

Sounds to me as if you are actually creating pages with sufficient unique content to have them recognised as such by Google. Ought to work fine. But don't take this as an expert's view. It's only my personal opinion.
