Hi Guys,
I have been following all the work here on how to get listed by Google and we ahve doen a reasonable job. We are number one in our market in our country in our particular sports website. The problem is that although we have up to 10 new articles a day (the most comprehensive coverage in the country) plus we provide our news to Google's news service, I still find that we are appearing below other sites in the same field with stories from 3 years ago!

It is extremely frustrating to have over 30 articles of a particular tournament and a competitors site that hasn't covered the tournament at all comes up above us with a story from 1999.

We also do not even appear on the first few pages of our major core keywords. We have heaps of great content that we write plus we cover heaps of tournaments that no-one else does and we make sure we cover new products early on so we get the hits when people search on Google, which is workign to soem extent.

The only difference I can see is that they use pure HTML pages (non-database) and we use php. But we have written the URL's so most are search engien friendly.

A broad questions but any suggestions or perhaps we need to hire a SEO expert to go over the site :))

Thanks Guys
