Google Directory Pagerank re-scaled?

AFAIK Google directory page rank had used only 0 to 7 (or 8?) instead of 0 - 10 . Now that the directory has been updated, it looks to me like directory PR has been adjusted to toolbar PR. Do you see the same thing?

No I don't see the same thing.

Looking at the HTML of the directory page for my site, my PR used to be represented by 16 units of green and 24 of white.

It still is, even though there are different sites above and below me in the revised directory listing.

Looking at the sites around me, the granularity and the typical rankings seem identical.

I've noticed that the Google Directory has been updated and the PR for my site is the same as the PR off the toolbar for my site but as to what PR scale is being used, I have no idea.

PR on toolbar and in the directory differ for my sites. Is the PR in the directory reliable? Or is it as reliable as the toolbar pr? ;-)

My toolbar PR and Directory PR are the same. They have the new updated high PR. I am at the top of my directory now.

I don't see a change. The index page for my site shows PR5 on the toolbar, and 22 pixels green, 18 white in the Directory... this is the way it's been for months.

My toolbar PR has been higher than my directory PR for months (since dances stopped).

Earlier today the directory seemed to be updated and I was pleasantly surprised to see my higher PR (same as toolbar) in the directory. Then I saw this thread and checked back and it seems to have reverted back to the old, lower PR.

It was there earlier today though!

I never worried about the Google Directory PR. It goes up and down and had never had any bearing on either my toolbar PR or my keyword ranking.

At one point I was second from the top, in the directory and
now I am second from the bottom, and frankly it does not
make much difference in traffic, as long as im at the top of the regular search term listings. Most people search and only a few people browse directories, " well at least im my trade anyways". Your mileage may vary.

Yesterday in the Google directory, one of my PR5 sites ranks below two sites that have PR3. Today it is accurate. I pay no attention to it.

I have a strange one. Timeline used to be: listing in ODP, directory path showing in Google SERP with no listing in that directory 5+ months later, then showing in the Google directory. Now I have sites showing up in Google Directory from ODP in less than 1 month, but no directory path showing up on the Google SERP's for the site. I also have the Google directory updating changes in ODP that do not yet show up on Google SERP's.

I am most impressed by the new speed of the Google directory updating. And the pages are cached on Google. I hope it is only a matter of time before the Google SERP's are also updated. Any other observations?
