I was #1-4 for about 2 years for a competitve search term. Last week I have uploaded lots of new content so that my site has about 1000 pages now. I have changed nothing except the new content.
Today my site has disappeared completely from the index although PageRank is 6 as ever.
It is no new index just all sites which were below me moved one place and I am gone.
The only thing I can imagine is that Googlebot tried to crawl the site while I needed to reboot the server this morning.
But would they remove a site from the index only because it is not reachable one time?
