sugath, try the site search and look for "rolling update". There have been lots of threads on this in the last few months since the monthly dance succumbed ;)

Remember the good old days before Dominic? You had some sort of idea of what to expect back then... The loss of the periodic deep-crawl, and update, was very unfortunate imho.

(Disclaimer: I've done alright out of it, but I sure did like the predictability we had for a while).

I had to post something today because it's my first anniversary of registering with WW.

Thanks, Nancy.

Yah, I hear you about the dance, but I still miss it. It was rather fun watching the mass insanity that ensued. Those were the days... :-)

I'd fathom a guess that Brett and the moderators don't miss the traditional dance (as far as webmasterworld is concerned). The Dominic and Esmeralda dance must have had the mods on their toes and I can't imagine the amount of bandwith that was consumed. I too miss the traditional dance, but the "mood" around here seems much calmer now.

now i think one has to just keep working on the sites ...
and hope it gets indexed and ranked well soon....

but again those days of dance used to be fun ... those 3 or 4 days used to decide how would u perform for the month ...
i thought webmasterworld would be missing it more bcoz the kind of traffic they used to get for those dancing days ... and the excitment it use to create was amazing ...
but as somebody has said all good things come to end :(
