Someone new in the office working on links sent a link request to webmaster@google.com with our sites and asked them to link back.

Do you think that G will think we are spammers and cull our sites?

I bet they get loads like this. Now if you you send one a minute for the rest of the day they might not look on that to favouribly.

That is what I thought. Looking through other threads people find it difficult to get a reply from webmaster@google.com anyway. It would be nice if G replied saying that they will link to our sites from the homepage ;)

Google already links to sites. They may just tell you to use the search engine and you'll find the one to yours. lol

I've always recieved an automated reply and then a personal reply anytime I've sent something to webmaster@google.com

The latest was a few days ago when I forwarded them a spam email that was using their copyrighted logo image.

I have read in other threads it is like banging your head against a brick wall to get a reply from that e-mail address. Mr Guy, did you put your WebmasterWorld ID in the subject line to get a reply?

Actually I did not. I just forwarded the email. Here is the reply I got after the automated one:

Hi (My Real Name),

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please be assured that
Google is in no way affiliated with this service. We've forwarded it to
the appropriate team for investigation. Google is actively pursuing all
available legal means to stop these individuals from abusing our name.
Feedback from our users is extremely important to us and we appreciate you
taking the time to write.
