Saturday 10pm Program on the 100 best books - 1 panelist talks about typing 'I hate Alice In Wonderland' into Google

I think this shows how far behind the times the UK is.
On the other hand, the number of instances of Google usage on UK TV may be disproportionately small compared with the number weddings, divorces and visits to public houses (bars); but do people want to sit in front of their TV watching people searching for things?
As far as I'm concerned, Google became mainstream the moment Josh Lyman uttered "Do a Google Seearch on it" early last year.
I think the funny thing is the smug looks people give when they mention Google (or 'my google' as the books program person says).
I am well and truly sick of people bringing up Google. I am desperate to turn around and say 'well, for people in the know the really good search engine is...'
But what?
how absolutely pathetic!

er Google appears to be doing something major, they are mentioned on TV (Again). A post was made about this. A yank thinks the UK is therefore "behind the times".
Next you're going to say that you guys build the best websites, create the best TV, have the best looking women, the best tasting beer and the most-uncurrupt politicians and businesses!
If only that was true then I'd dream of being an american!

Trademark infringement alleged
Friday, October 24, 2003 Posted: 5:37 PM EDT (2137 GMT)PARIS, France (AP) -- Louis Vuitton SA is suing Google and its French subsidiary for trademark infringement in the wake of a landmark ruling that could force the popular Internet search engine to change the way it sells advertising.
The 20-page October 13 ruling by the court in the Paris suburb of Nanterre called into question the legality of the search system at the heart of Google's business model.
