Need help with Googlebot and site design

I was hoping for some help!
I am in process of reworking our corporations websites, and was wondering if I need to make any modifications to allow the googlebot to search properly.

We are implementing a "gateway" page that validates a persons age. So here's the detail:

-person goes to www.whatever.com
-checks for cookie - if cookie not present gets redirected to this gateway page
- validates age and then get redirected back to initial site and cookie is written

- I'm wanted to verfiy that the spiders would be able to get through the site to do their thing. I wanted to make sure that the bots wouldn't be affected by this. I don't believe so, but I wanted to make sure.

Googlebot is never going to have the cookie - so, unless there are deep links to further pages and they aren't checking for the cookie, the bot will never index them.
