Just did a 2 word search on Google.co.uk "the web" and it says it has about 662,000 pages on the subject then I did a search on pages from the uk and google says they have about 683,000 pages on the subject.

Why is Google listing more pages in the UK than the "entire web" search? Is it because they maybe pulling from a different datacenter?

Thanks

Hi xcandyman,

I noticed a similar phenomenan [webmasterworld.com] whereby all country-specific tld's are returning what appears to be a completely different index. (Except .co.uk and .com) ..

Something afoot?
