I've been attempting to initiate index page link swaps with several other strong sites that are relevant to what I do.
Of course traffic from these types of links are nice in most cases, but do links of this sort help or hurt as far as Google and it's backlinking/ranking rules are concerned? Is it best to keep these tucked away in a directory or does it draw the web of strong, related sites closer?
