How quickly can a newly created page on Widgets be index on Google?

a. This new page is linked from the home page that has been around for a while and lets say i.)PR of 5

b. Let say good SEO was done to the new page.

c. Would this new linked page obtain a top 1-5 on first page within one week?

d. If it would not obtain a top 1-5 first page first week, but over time it would rise up. How much "over time" - a few weeks, a month or more?

c. What if this new page is different from the home page - say home page is about Fraggells (Perfumes) and the new page is Widgets (Ugly Rocks).

It all depends on how competitive the keyword is, how many links you can get, and what keywords you get in those links. Yes it's possible, but it would be very hard on competitive keywords.

Hello Garaga welcome to WW

If it does work, let me know and you can get a new site of mine up ahaha :-)

I just did a new site, but it only has a Home page link from one PR4 site, which I am hoping is enough to get the Gbot to come and crawl the site naturally, without using the Submit URL and to get it showing in the SERPs while i go trawling around looking for more inbound links related to this new site.

Good Luck!

We created a new page to fill a gap left when one of the local transportion companies decided it was no longer necessary to have a web site with times and rates.

We linked to it from our front page and within two or three days it was #1 or 2 for most related search terms.

Keep an eye on the "fresh" pages rankings and watch it slowly fall down in the rankings over the next week or two.

I have started a completely fresh site, linked to from several dozen pages of three PR5 sites. It's now several weeks after the site went online, and it wasn't even crawled deep yet :)

IMHO it depends on the PR of the "birth-giving" page. With PR5 links one week sounds impossible to me.
