A competitor uses this (successfully) to spam his site to #1.
AFAI can see he has noscript sections on all pages of all his customers.
In these sections he spams his own address as well as to all his other customers.
Obviously this is only there for google. I reported it as spam, but they don't care.

I spammed a site in the noscript tag once to see if it would work. It worked very well for a while, but then the site got kicked out of the index. So unfortunately you will get penalised if you spam - even in the noscript.

what if it was legitamate... i run a free website tools type website, and instead of inserting the link to my site after the javascript code they use to insert any given tool, i want to change this to a <noscript>. Then, the chances of them removing the link is minimal, because it doesn't appear in the first place when they place the tool on the website.
what do you think?

when someone tries to do a little seo on his website to get the most out of his services, he's considered a spammer?
not to get too off topic, but would this be an OK thing to do or should I just leave it as it is?
