Which is the best way to get into the Google index?

I have a medical themed site ready and want to get into the google index ASAP.

Which of the following strategies could possibly work best:

1) My friend has a PR5 site which is visited several times a month by google spider. If I place a link to my new site there, will google be happy to spider my site because google found it by 'itself'?

Will google hurt my new possible ranking because my friends site is software themed (offtopic from mine)?

2) I'll buy a link into Inktomi database through positiontech. After being spidered by slurp spider, I'll manually submit the same site through the google 'add url'.
Google won't mind being submitted by hand and possibly indexes me quickly because I'm represented already in the major database?

Yes, a link from another site that Googlebot visits will get you found.

No, that your friend's site is a different topic won't bite you, but of course you'll want other links from elsewhere anyways.

Pay for Ink's Slurp to visit if you choose, but it would seem quite unrelated to speeding your path into Google's index.

Get some 4-5 PR links, this is the best and the fastest way to get in the index.

Thanks Kevin & Noximus!

I'm going to have 2 PR5 links pointing to my site.
I'll keep you informed, how quick will I get spidered.

This will be interesting. Also if you settled for on-topic or off-topic links ...
