Strange Results on Google.com

Anyone else see this.

I am seeing some strange results on Google.com from the UK at the moment - they dont match any datacentres.

And I dont want to start complaining and all - but they dont look to good.

Does anyone else see this - It may only be temporary - but then again it might be a sign of some forthcoming changes.

I don't see a difference. However, I have been seeing for the past few weeks totally different results on uk yahoo.

Results are OK now - there was a period at about 8.00am UK time that they were a bit stange. - It seemed to happen just before the latest fresh dates were added - perhaps a transitional period - but after the fresh dates were added the results became more normal.

Strange - Either I am going mad or it is happening again.

Google.com does not match results on any datacentres for some keywords I am watching :( - I wonder if it will last this time.

For a generic word to check on look at UK Bookstores (Hope this OK as far as TOS are concerned) - Amazon is know number 1 on .com but not on the top page in any datacentres or regional .co.uk - where are the .com results coming from then?

Although the above example is not so bad - you would probably expect to see Amazon at number 1 - however this is happening accross a wide range of keywords I am looking at.

While I've not looked at all the other data centres, www, www2 & www3 are showing new results for our main key words. We've even got a new page indexed that only went up a few days ago.

I haven't had time to analyse the results however it looks like a minor shifting based probably on new backlink info. That would explain a jump from 12 to 8 for one of our sites as we've added new BL over the last month.

The data centers are showing differet results, cw is showing different results from sj, and others are showing the same as one of those. Who knows which ones will move over to www, perhaps it will be a merge of them all.

I'm from the UK too, but I'm not seeing any major changes in the google.com serps at the moment for my main keywords. I noticed a few fluctuations a few days ago, but nothing drastic.

Yes, Datacentres do often show different results - I have experienced and used to that.

What I am seeing on Google.com does not match any datacentres.

From here the www + 2 + 3 results match up to the different data centres as they have for weeks (with the new results).

There are always two data centres showing different results however I've never seen them show up on www.

Nope - does not match what I am seeing on Google.com, none of the 10 I know of using a certain tool match what I am seeing in Google.com

In Fact when I am using the tool with the three data centres the .com result does not match what I am seeing by going directly to .com either :(

Dayo_UK,

do you directly access the different data centres or are you using a website? If you are using a website which displays the ten different data centres this perhaps would explain the different results (due to geolocation).

This is by using a tool that compares them all.

But also when going to the various domains for the datacentres direct.

I cant find a datacentre that matches what shows on .com

I will leave it for now and have a go on my home pc tonight.
