Congrats from me too.

Seems that with no major updates any more that it took a little longer to get here than it might have. Don't see any more 300 post threads

Never in the history of SE conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few, and so many had so much to say about so little. We shall fight SE's on the beaches, we shall fight SE's on the landing grounds, we shall fight SE's in the fields and in the streets. We shall never surrender!

Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duty, and so bear ourselves that if the SEO Empire and it's common good last for a thousand years, men will still say "This was their finest hour".

If we fail, then the whole world - including the United States - including all that we have known and cared for - will sink into the abyss of a new "Dark Age", made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science....commonly known as Google! ;)

100,000 posts in almost six months? Amazingly, the growth of forum3 has had the same exponential growth since almost the start.

Date - Posts
1 - Oct 22, 1999
10,000 [webmasterworld.com] - Nov 27, 2001
20,000 [webmasterworld.com] - Mar 28, 2002
50,000 [webmasterworld.com] - Aug 15, 2002
100,000 [webmasterworld.com] - Mar 04, 2003
200,000 - Sept 8, 2003

We've seen Google's popularity grow from strength to strength. Updates have come early and late; webmasters have been in joy and in pain; penalties have come and gone; new features have been added and tricks have been discoverd, exploited, and neutered.

To everyone who makes this forum worthwhile: give yourself a pat on the back.

<from above post by ciml>
time taken for 10k posts is 25, 4, 1.7, 1.4, 0.5 months. I would expect the time-series of queries/day @ google mirroring this :)

But, where do we go from here. Are we going to see 300k posts by Jan 04.. And google getting stronger and stronger?

The forum probably would have broken that mark long ago without the efforts of Forum 4 mods to maintain quality. Nice work, & congrats on the milestone!

I hate to bring up conspiracy theories, but it seems that perhaps all of the upheaval at Google over the last six months has been a big scheme to boost the number of posts on this forum. Hmmmmmmmmmm. ;)
