Hi,

For about a year I had one site ranked consistly #1 for a major local keyword, then suddenly the site was removed from Google. I had this happen once before to another site which took forever it seemed to get Google to re-accept it. Both sites are clean and mainly just contain local information. It seems that Google sometimes just accidently drops web sites. The strange thing about it is this recent site, which was dropped, is still regularly spidered by Google and shows pr. Also, if you check for links they show.
Even more interesting is when you search for contains "url" it shows 355 results but if you click the next button to view the subsequent page results the number changes. I have never seen this type of behavior. I can't understand why the entire site has been removed and why it is showing such wierd results.
I tried multiple times with re-inclusion requests but no luck after three months. What should I do? I am not solely dependant on Google and I feel it is spammy to just dump the URL and launch another site.
So any advice would be appreciated. Anyone else have similar experiences?

That does sound strange. Is the site coming up for any searches? And did you try allinurl: with and without the www?

The site does not show for any search results. I tried allinurl, site, and even using the URL as a search and nothing.
To me it looks as though it was dropped or banned. Why I don't know.
