I don't know why GoogleBot is indexing my site every 2 times a day! It visits my site every 2 times a day and this has been going on for about 10 days. But when I check in Google's SERPs , its the same old results (for my site). I have checked in all the Google's 9 datacentre's and www2, www3... Its the same results for my site. Does anyone know what has been going on here?

Be patient. Google needs some time to digest your links. Once Google dance, you will find your listings in Google.

It's not rare the Googlebot visits a website twice a day. Some websites with high PR are visited by Googlebot everyday.

sidyadav,

Can you see which pages are visited? Could be the same page over and over again, or a different page each time (or combinations of course).

You rankings will not change by Googlebot visiting if you didn't change anything, only if your pages have been changed. If it's your homepage (or any other page) being visited over and over again, make sure you have links on that page to your other pages that Googlebot can follow.

Be patient, changes may show up after a week to a month these days.

Might have a similar problem. It freshes two pages OVER and OVER every day, but has the same stale results for 8 pages it also indexed and doesn'T add any of the other pages for weeks. DESPITE me changing my PR6 inbounds to point to the unspidered pages.

Are you running adsence?

Could this be the media partner Googlebot?

Mack.

Hi,
Google bot is visits 1 page a day 2 times. I check all the datacentre's everyday, but theres no sign of my updated site. I am not using Adcense or anything. Its the pure GoogleBot/2.1

Hi,

I am new here. I think I am in the same situation than sidyadav and killroy. During last monthes, Google indexed my new pages quite quickly, but for about a couple of weeks, only the home page is updated, new pages are crawled but not indexed. Is this a new change in the way Google indexes pages? Are we back to monthly updates?

Well, just before that I had the sneaking suspicion that google does a somewwhat larger update from sunday to monday. But waiting weekend after weekend I was not able to see another inclusion of new pages on that time frame.

I've detailed my "relationship" with googlebot on a new site here:
[webmasterworld.com...]

Perhaps others could write a short account of the exact timeing of spidering inclusion and respidering.

It seems that more people are affected and currently new sites (even those with massive inlinking from the get go) are somehow falling behind in Google's priorities.

Perhaps together we can shed some light on this, as I must imagin this to be as painful to anybody depending on launching new sites as it is for me.

Hi Guys,
I just found out Googlebot coming to your site everyday and indexing a page 2 times a day, is a good sign! For the following reasons:
1) All the pages of my site was added successfully and correctly and Now, I'm in the 10-20 results in the SERPs.

2) My Pagerank got from 2/10 to 5/10!

3) Googlebot is indexing my site everyday and keeping an updateds index of my site in the SERPs

Cool! :)
