Post your best question you would like to ask Sergey. (note: Sergey has not agreed to this [yet]), but these will be hand delivered to him next week. We shall see if he responds ;-)

Thread Rules:
-q's about Google operation. (not sergey himself - sorry gals)
-one question per person only please.
-no noise or clarifying questions.
-no specifics about your site please.
-off topic stuff will be zapped (nffc is still on duty! 'he loves this stuff).
-Keep it short. Don't drone on for more than 2 sentences.

Will google introduce a portal like page as Yahoo and other sites offer allowing the users to see the news, search, check out stores and so forth in a centralized page.

Google PFI programme

Will Google implement a PFI programme, what sort of shape might it take, and will this include a PPC feed element like other engines have done.

Do you appreciate feedback from webmasters and is it given serious consideration within the context of your world view?

The Google Dance initially appeared on www2 and www3, and then slowly propagated to the public datacenters.

These days, the Dance plays out on all the public datacenters. During this period, spam sites and irrelevant sites may temporarily flourish and derive traffic from the public datacenters while previously-established sites suffer a huge drop in visitors. Search integrity may eventually be restored, but webmasters get no compensation for lost traffic and lost revenue during that time.

Do you think that last couple of weeks have taught Google a lesson? Will future Google Dances be handled differently?

Heres a good and I think common one in these times. If a site gathers PR5 and PR4 links (as in plural) Why would they DROP to a PR1 as of this morning (the 14th) from a very dissapointing PR2. (Prior to May '03 was a PR5 and PR4 for a year)

I am EXTREMLY anxious to hear why this is.

Edit> Please note some backlinks I have gathered DO show for other sites but not mine. I have ZEROOOOOO backlinks now, but far from the truth, I have PR4 and PR5 links, but their not being picked up. WHY?

I was at an open forum with the drugstore.com CEO last night. He mentioned a deal he's trying to make with Google; can you expand on that?

What percent of the completed vision you have for Google do you think has been achieved (publicly and on private test servers)?

How many hours/week do you put in?

Sergey, from the end-user viewpoint, are there any plans to offer alternative search pages (please leave the vanilla-flavored default search page as is!), which would educate the user on utilizing time-saving operators such as the newly-hatched ~? - A 'customized/customizable' search page, serving as a shift in paradigm from the advanced search page, which may not be a panacea for all users' query needs.

Will you be able to give users the ability to 'tweak' the Google secret sauce for individual searches for themselves. For instance, change the importance of PR.

If all surfers have the ability to vote on sites in the future, how could you make sure they're qualified?
