Hi

I launched a site in April and it was properly indexed in a few days. The site was ranking well & was assigned PR4. Infact few internal pages also had PR4.

But for the last 1 1/2 months Google has stopped spidering the site and the already indexed pages have started disappearing. When I do site:www.mydomain.com the pages which have PR4 appear like

www.mydomain.com/page.html in the serps. Only 5 of the total 100 pages appear with the Title.

Could anybody pinpoint the problem.

Have you tried allinurl:yoursite.com?

What showed up in April wasn't exactly what we can go by, especially for new sites. Do you have some good inbound links, and how's your internal navigation structure?

There is a small change in the serps in past 4 hrs.

allinurl: displays 40 URL's out of these 25 show title.
site: displays 40 URL's out of these only 5 show title.

Infact when I referesh these numbers further decrease dramatically. Could be the other data centers. The site has links from PR6 & many PR5 sites. Also The site pages which are disappearing are showing a PR4.

As far the navigation is concerned the site is approx 50 page and all pages are linked to each other.

All of the site's page has a small description & outbound link to a unique internal page of a single site (5-40 outbound links per page).

Hope this helps explaining my site.

I've seen this happen also, a site that was one month old - drop in to a scarily high rank for many strong keyterms, be there for a couple of days, then flip back out, and know it is back in, on a more permenant basis - looking as strong as i conceived it to be. ranking between 1-8 on several hundred key-terms and model (#1) number terms.

Hi neelkumar, welcome to WebmasterWorld.

Did the IP address of the site recently change (e.g. because site went to other hosting company), or might there be a problem with the robots.txt file?

Yes the IP address of the site had changed after a month site was launched. But there were 3 more sites on the same server one older and two of the same age. All of them seem to be working perfectly fine, even though there IP has also changed.

If this is the case of IP change problem, how do I set the things right again. Also does the IP change affects the new and old sites equally.

Infact I just checked my raw logs & the googlebot has been there on my site till 3 days back. It is only that the site does not show up in SERP's & has PR4 for many pages.

allinurl: & site: show URL & no Title & Desc. for many pages.
