Google search: Sorry, no information is available for the URL

URL error message for Google

I run operations for an online ad company. We have a site that has been around for 6 years and has thousands of members.

The problem is when you do a Google search for 'www.domainname.com' or 'domainname.com', the search returns a message:

"Sorry, no information is available for the URL"

I have checked the site with the google toolbar and it has a PR6 rating, so I believe that it is not being blocked by Google.

Our other sites are structured identical to this site in question yet a search on their URL 'domainname.com' will result in an actual link to the site.

I've tried many times contacting google with the 'password' of the day as well as going over to Mountian View and dropping off this request. No response Does anyone have any idea what this may be caused by?

Not so sure about that "password" type thing, I wouldn't take that too seriously.

With the domains that aren't showing up, do you have other domain names pointing to those sites? The reason I ask about that first is that I've been seeing people royally messing themselves up with that lately.

Thanks for the response Marcia. :)

We do have some of our other URL addresses pointing to the site that we are having problems with. But our other sites that are similar that ALSO have other URLs pointing to them come up in a Google URL search.

Any ideas?

Are there Google webmasters, etc on this site?

Do they ever help with individual problems?

ffadmin I wouldn't worry about the "Sorry, no information is available for the URL"
i have noticed that with a few good url's at the moment.
Google is still updating its data and I think it will only be time before its done.
If you have the ggogle toolbar installed type in your url address and then click the "page info" and do a check of backlinks that way

I checked the backlinks through the google toolbar. From the homepage of the website. There were no backlink pages, it resulted with this message:

Your search - link:http://domain.com - did not match any documents.

Suggestions:
- Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
- Try different keywords.
- Try more general keywords.

Am I able to post the name of the site in question or is this against the rules/regs of the postboard?

Thanks Everyone
