Hi

I am thinking of expanding and selling goods to other European countries and want to target customers with fully translated sites.

1) will links from say a ".it" site with a good google rank help a site on ".uk" domain? i.e does back linking from other countries sites help?

2) Ive not set this up at all yet and havnt had much experience of such things (euro sites) but can i host a ".it" site on a UK server? Sorry if this is a dumb question!

Many thank, this is a great resource,

Rumbas

Hi DJsaunders - welcome to the board :)

>1) will links from say a ".it" site with a good google rank help a site on ".uk" domain
Certainly. A link is a link and it counts equally from all domains. Some .edu sites got a boost once, but not sure they do any more though.

>can i host a ".it" site on a UK server
Yup. I believe so, but lets let our UK memebers verify that.

>Sorry if this is a dumb question!
Here, the only dumb questions are the ones not asked. We're here to help each otehr out you know :)

BTW if you're going to sell to Europeans remembers there's something called customer service and you WILL get inquiries in the local langauges you market to. Just a heads up.
