I was wondering what other people's experience has been with google indexing their whole site. What percentage of your site does google actually find and index? I have a site that I believe is about 3,000 pages, although some pages may be defunct and not linked in, and google typically has between 2,400 and 2,600 pages in its index. I am guessing it is missing around 10% of valid, linked-in pages. Is this typical?

I don't know what's normal, but my site is about 1100 pages and it seems like Google has all of them, or nearly so.

Google has all of mine except the ones that are disallowed like my discussion boards and anything else CGI.

I have a drop of 100% :(

I go in and out of the index on alternate updates. I think I'll just re-name my business and start the whole sordid process from scratch....

no I see neither pattern nor reason.

I have a new site from March so this possibly doesn't count: but -sj switched from having near 100% to 20% during the last hours including directories I am sure to have excluded in robot.txt

freshbot picked up a page yesterday that was by no means fresh.

Don't complain, I have a drop of 96.7 % between www and www-sj (formerly 5630 pages indexed, everything but the fresher, now 185). I hope it will not last too long. Does anybody do worse without totally disappearing?
