Having just read the notes about www-sj.google.com, decided to take a look.

I noticed that we had a backlink from Amazon.co.uk - WOW!

Went to Amazon.co.uk and noticed that adwords now appear within the site as sponsored links - our adword was appearing under book titles relevant to our google adword.

Amazement of all this is that Google has spidered the page and registered our adword link as a link from Amazon.

Whilst i recognise that this is only within sj.google.com, i am very impressed - but can't believe it will ever become a reality in the main index.

Must say, i wasn't even aware that google adwords appeared within Amazon :)

Great, but don't Amazon pages tend to have really really low pagerank?

This page had a pagerank 5.

I was just amazed because in general adwords listings do not get spidered - AOL etc. I was therefore impressed that Amazon was different, plus because the page is about books relevant to the subject of my adword (hence my site) it adds credence to the relevancy of my site, i would have thought.

Obviously to appear in Amazon you have to appear within the top three adwords for the subject, fortunately we are always 1 or 2.

Anyway, a nice bonus.

Ya, I noticed that too. Looks like a nice back link to me.
