Since most duplicate ALL of DMOZ any penalty against people they link to would give the most of the WWW a PR of zero :)
There are a lot of high profile sites that make goos use of this data. Google being the most notable. take a look at the Google directory and tell me you dont see the similarity ;-)
Very few job blogg users will even know the open directory exists. The majority of odp traffic will come from partners.
No, once it's gone from ODP its days are numbered at the Google Open Directory.
Google could change that if they wanted (it would be legal use based on the license) but IMO they're not likely to. A significant effort constantly goes into removing dead links and hijacked-domain spam from the ODP; Google would need a very good reason not to take advantage of that effort.
