Targeting Freshbot

A flaw in Google?

After last month's web wide PR drop I got very curious and decided to do a few things. One of them was to target Google's freshbot specifically. How?

It's simple. What you're doing is using everflux to your advantage. You take a page and modify it by (for example) increasing keyword density or decreasing overall page (or any other common SEO practices). The content is of course on topic it's just a tad more focused or cleaner. Typically (assuming freshbot chews your site up regularly) this will significantly increase your rankings in the SERPs and could last for a few weeks at the most. Is it beneficial, depends how you use it.

Test it out for yourself.

I agree.
I tried to have a dozen of mu new linked pages indexed but could not wait for 2 months. So I am thinking to put them to the index page of my other sites so as to make them searchable.

This works and I've been doing it for some time now.

I have one question, how do we find out when is the last time freshbot coming, if I do not have visit logged?
Thanks,

The only way to see if it's been coming and what pages it has been hitting, is to look at your server logs.

So now the interesting question:

Want to dominate keywords? Spam like crazy and have freshbot pick that up. Would it work. I don't know and I'm not going to try but does freshbot have the same spam sniffing abilities as deepbot?

Every thing has the ability to be abused.

When used properly, it makes for good SEO.

There will always be people who will spam in whatever way they can.

It might work for a while but long term you may be reported and have your site removed.

I have another question.

Is the cached view of the site from freshbot or deepbot?

Thanks,

That depends on the one they are showing. It can be from either, depending on the current google mood!
