Anybody picked a name for this update? If not we better start thinking of good male names!

I like Billy Bob or Woody...

Regards,
Cowboy

For the record, the naming committee has reached a decision regarding the name of the next Google update.

However, I'm not going to tell you what it is just yet. :)

Since it should begin with a "D" and we all fret about the update why not DEATHSTALKER - could be male or female. Just be kind to me

Ya know, that "we know what it is but we're not telling you" is just plain mean.

If this is the first "male" update, it should, of course, be named Adam

Does it start with a D, and if it does, has any one guessed it?!!!

Ok...

Some very good names so far... but why do we need to go through the alphabet?

There are so many other good letters to chose from. Lets not be too nerdy!

I still like Woody.

Let's see "Waiting On Woody"...

Ok, maybe not!

But, I am off to build a new Viagra Site!

I have two big clients and an employee, with this name, that are all looking forward to the new results.

Make that 1 more vote for Dave.

We are going through the alphabet because we thought it would be fun to use the same naming system used for hurricanes [nhc.noaa.gov]. Since this will be the fourth update of the year, it must start with a D.

WebGuerrilla,

Don't mind me... I survive the updates by drinking and bad humor!

How about Douglas, to honour the first person to publicise the fundamental interconnectedness of all things - long before PageRank.

lol. A few thousand promotion and marketing grunts, dozens of branding experts, a few dozen righteous press and public relations people, and even 1 professional political spin doctor in the forums.

Imagine trying to get those groups to agree on a name!

We had Ad Hoc committees all over Boston working on the problem. I'm not kidding - it was in many different table conversations as a talking point.

After that, it was passed up last week into the naming committee. Once the name was reached, it was an obvious choice and chairman WebGuerrilla signed off on it.
