Please could we compile a list of google absolute no nos .

I am busy designing a site and just want to be 100% certain about what i am doing

If it means that much to you, you owe it to yourself to take a look at what Google has to say.

Or you can do a site search for "Help me please!"

madmal, I suggest that you start with Google's webmaster guidelines.

The difficulty is in interpreting them; we come to different views on the subject over time.

If I may make a suggestion, Brett's Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone [webmasterworld.com] article is just as relevant now as it was back in early 2002.
