And, the cat my main site is listed in is down to PR2 from PR4? No doubt this is part of why that site dropped to PR5 from PR6, in addition to the fact Google managed to somehow miss my ODP PR5 link (along with every other site in that cat.)

Yup, this was the main reason my PR dropped a point for my biggest site. The yahoo directory page went from PR7 to PR6.

Showing a solid 10 here.

<added>Oh, just checked dir.yahoo.com and it's an 8 all right ;)

Seems we had a general drop all across the board:

No link to dir.yahoo.com from www.yahoo.com. I assume there was one last month?

I have a feeling that those that paid the money will have something to say to Yahoo about this. I can't see the logic of not linking on yahoo.com unless they've decided the directory is too much of a pr drain.

Well, this helps explain the drop of PR we've seen across the board. It's going to be pretty hard to get the PR7 back on my big site when so many of my backlinks lost PR. I'm glad I saved a screen shot. I can 'remember when' by looking at the picture. :)

I agree with all those saying it doesn't seem to have made much differenc in serps tho.

:P Drop in PR for directories on Yahoo, yah, its true. But of course as said it was dropped all across the board, i mean hey last month I had PR 8 this month I don't ;) However Yahoo's ranking going up and down? How long will it be before Yahoo gets pr0 ;P and then nobody submits to their categories for SEO purposes. oOoo wow someone better start making a directory structure now to replace yahoo. Im up for it ;)

Surprised no one has jumped in with conspiracy theories on why PR dropped for Yahoo. Like speculating on whether Yahoo was given a boost as long as it was a "friend" and now perhaps being downgraded because of the recent SE purchase?

OR, maybe that's why the update took so long. They were checking the major effect on the web of downgrading yahoo directory?

My.yahoo.com is down too. I think they used to be at 10, or at least a 9. Now an 8.

Anyways, I'm not disturbed by this. Yahoo deserved a kick in the pants for messing with so many things that worked well. Hopefully they will finally do some good things. I did like some of the recent moves by yahoo.
