Newby here too, its called EverFlux , do a search in this forum for that word. You will come up then go off basiclly, for about a month.

Its all in the way the Google index works.

Now let me say this, DONT WORRY, in a few days you will pop up again. If I were you I would Fully optimize my site in the meantime if you havent all ready.

The best thing you can do at this point is optimize that baby and be patient, I would say 2 months all should be stable, maybe 1 month.

I showed up a couple weeks ago, then went off for 3 days, and have been on now for a week and a couple days solid.

this recent update, which has just occured, could have left your site penalised possibly?

Have you checked www2 and www3 to see if you are on there?

what are the results - you are not showing?

If so, this sounds like you could have been penalised. Wait for the next update and see what it brings.

this must be results of the everflux...is there a date tag on your listings whe they are showing in Google?

In this thread [webmasterworld.com], Marcia sums it up excellently:

It just means they crawl all month, and sites are in and out, up and down in rankings in a very transitory fashion in between normal monthly updates, when Page Rank is recalculated and the new index is generated.

Also, this thread will put a stop to your worrying: Google Updates and Everflux, the Monthly Mid-Cycle Changes [webmasterworld.com]

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com] DontKnow. Before worrying too much I'd wait for a few more days until the update is stable.

Multiple threads on one subject makes it much more difficult for everyone to follow the discussion. ;)

dontknow,

I doubt there is any need for GGs special attention on this one :)

can you confirm how long your site had been in the index, is it a new site?

the reason i ask is that if it is a new site it could well be Everflux taking place.

in> out > shake it all about
