It appears that a PR10 is harder to come by these days. Unless my PageRank is off (due to the dance), there are only 5 sites remaining a PR10.

Somebody on WW in October, 2002 compiled a list of 21 PR10s.

yes I think the number dropped, but its definately more than ten:

The ones mentioned in this thread [webmasterworld.com] more or less still prevail. Add some universities (MIT, Harvard).
