Mysite got PR0 for last update. I looked at www2 and www3 and still see PR0. Does it mean for the coming update my site will have PR0 or PR doesn't take place yet..thanks

Preenet it sounds like your site is in for another month with a pr0. Try not to feel too bad - I got my first two pr0s this update without spamming at all.

Getting links is gunna be tough, but it gives you a chance to focus on your content at the same time. Good luck.

borisbaloney,

Are you saying the Google is now just handing out PROs for no reason?

preenet,

why the google bots keep visiting the old pages which are no longer exist for 4 months.

Yes, they are being kind. They assume that if you intentionally removed the page, your would return a 410-Gone server status when that page is requested. They are simply giving you time to fix your site, since you are returning a 404-Not Found. After a few months, they will drop the page.

If you want quick action, return the proper server codes!

301-Moved Permanently (Resource won't be back, use the new URL provided with the 301 response.)
302-Moved Temporarily (This means the resource will return; use the temporary URL provided now, but attempt to use the original URL next time.)
410-Gone (Resource is gone, no similar replacement, resource will not return, forget it!)
404-Not Found (Broken script, broken server, corrupted filename, webmaster error, could be anything.)

In many cases, a 404 means the webmaster forgot something...

HTH,
Jim

I'm still fairly new, but I have been told that the tool bar is still pulling results for page rank from www.google.com. Since it has not finished the update you might still have a chance.

If you use Windows, this trick will give you your real PR during the dance:

Nah just that these two sites are brand new and I don't think they have been ranked properly yet. Both have had no optimisation at all done to them, let alone spamming or tricks.

Also judging purely on preenet's post count I assumed that his site was new too.

PR still hasn't been updated by Google. Wait a few more days then worry if your site is still pr0.
