My apologies Brett if you see this as Spamish wine...

This is not a bellyache about spam thread!

In a way this is either an observation or a question for GoogleGuy, but some confimation is requestion from other users.

A while back I reported some spam, as per the instructions found on this website [webmasterworld.com]. And a happy day it was when the site was removed from the serps.

But, the site returns now and then with some freshbot updates. It doesn't return after all of them, just some of them. It still exists, with it's PR and all of it's spammy glory and hidden links.

What I want to know is:
Have other people seen this happen?
Is this an inconsistency in the processing of (some) fbot results?
Is google aware that this is happening?

In and of itself this could cause a lot of confusion to people who think the spam is gone, see it back, an then feel inclined to re-report or come here and say something about it.

Cheers and happy dance!
Mike

minipage, i see exactly the same thing with this coming index. Ole shool hardcore spam is back and some kind of spam never gets penalized. I'm frustrated and i lost all confidence in a possible spam detecting algo.

That's unfortunate Yidaki.

However, what I am talking about isn't with the new update, it has been around since at least the last update, and the everflux in between updates. It occurs (sometimes) with the appearance of new frestags.

For example, It wasn't around with the tags for the 6th or the 8th, but it has returned with the tags for the tenth. This is not the first time I have seen this since the last update (the late feb update).

Mind you, upon reflection maybe the latest update reflect the same filters that are there for Fbot and your point and mine are somewhat the same...?
