My company has a link on a PR7 site. This is how they set the link up: [ad.doubleclick.net...] code?http://mycompany.com.

Will Google credit us with this link the way it is set up?

Also does the link have to be on the homepage or can it be on any page with a PR7?

Worthless for PR. You need a real link.

Yahoo doesn't use "real links", but they do pass PR. Not sure about the doubleclick ones.

This is what makes the link they gave you
useless:

[ad.doubleclick.net...]

Stops googlebot in it's tracks.

Depending on the type of relationship you have with the pr7 site. I would be inclined to send them a friendly email requesting a text link somewhere on the page also.

The worst they can say is no.

Hmm...with that "My company has a link on a PR7 site", sounds like it is a paid link. Does seem to leave open the possibility of negotiating.

on a side note, i have noticed back links from my site that have those types of URL's so <G> does count them as backlinks for what it's worth.
