Im developing a site that needs an animation introduction?

Are there any suggestions as to what i can do to optimize effectively ?

any other ideas?

I am pretty sure this is a bad idea , but its my clients request .

Make sure that you have a text link into the site that doesnt read: Skip Intro think anchor text ;) Good title and a good meta-description tag never hurts :)

... or use layers... once the intro is over, you can always hide the top layer and reveal a nicely done and optimized page.

Why not make the animation fill the screen (table 100% x 100%) then below it put a couple of paragraphs of quality text and a simple text menu.

Few of your animation loving visitors will bother to scroll down if they see what they want to see in the animation (nice things and perhaps some links). Other people will scroll down, so what!

The site looks good to people and good to text loving SEs (and text loving people).
