Backward Links Don't Show Up In Google

Backward Link Problem

I'm having some issue with Google backward links search.
My competitor has all their internal pages credited as backward links to their home page. This can be seen by searching for backward links to their home page on Google.

I've not been able to do this for my own site eventhough the links are there on every page (navigation links), and the links are simple HTML links. What's the problem? Do I need to submit every single page to Google eventhough all my internal pages have been indexed and included in Google?

I've also seen some sites with their listings in DMOZ credited as a backward link to their web site. We are listed in DMOZ as well, but somehow, the DMOZ page with the link to our site is not credited as one of our backward links. Any comment on this behavior?

Our site has been up for a long time (12+ months) and we have been in Google for 6 months, and in DMOZ for over 2 months at least. I know for sure that all of our pages are indexed and included by Google already.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Jimmy

You could have simply missed the last time DMOZ duped over to the Google Directory. Beyond that, from what I heard, pages with a PR of 3 or less are no longer showing up as backlinks. So, if your domain's highest point is a 3 or lower - that could be the issue with not seeing your internal pages.

Work on some link popularity if this is the case... And maybe Google will like you next time around.

Also, are you sure that you have long standing links from higher than 3 PR sites?

What is the PR of your site and what is the PR of the DMOZ page where it is listed?

The PR is 3. If what you say is true, then this must be the reason.

Even the backward links are not shown, the site still gets the boost from the few links that it has.

Is there anything I can do internally (ie. to the web pages) to increase the PR?

And the PR for the page on DMOZ is 4, but it has quite a bit of links there, approximately 27 sites listed on that page.

the mirror page at google for that same category has PR of 3. Our site is in both.

We were initially in DMOZ only, and the ranking on search keywords were better. Then Google directory updated and included our listing, then our ranking dropped by one position. (as well as drop PR for our site from 4 to 3)

Maybe Google has substituted the inbound PR from DMOZ with PR from Google.

Are there any basic elements I need to put in my HTML to get at least a base line of PR on the merit of the content alone?

Also, the thing is that the same DMOZ / Google Directory page shows up as the backward link for my competitor.
