Timing of getting new sites indexed

I started my site at the end of feb right before the last google dance. I only had a few inbound links then. Now I have over 60 inbound links and googlebot is coming back everyday. My site was listed for a few days and then disapeared again (everflux right?) Will my site make it in the index and get a page rank? Or will it take another month since I didn't have much with the last deepcrawl? Thanks!

To me, it looks like you are going to be in the index after this update.

If you got 1 or more inbound links from a page already listed in Google before 16th March aprox., you should be in after this update which we are all waiting for.

Your pages will get PageRank from the links you had during the last deep-crawl. Then, you may see a PR improvement when the rest of those 60 incoming links are factored in next month. It's hard to tell - It depends on PR the early links had, and what PR the latest ones have.

But at any rate, you'll almost certainly be in the index.

I started my site in about the same time frame (late February). Missed the last update, but I'll be in this one for sure. My site has been thoroughly deep crawled, and many of my pages are already in the SERPs thanks to Freshbot. Of course, they tend to drop in and out, although my main page is fairly stable now. I don't think I have nearly as many inbound links as you (probably closer to a dozen than to 60), but at least two of those are from PR6 pages, and at least 3 from PR5, so I'm anxious to see how I do in the update. :) Unfortunately, I don't know how many of those links were in time for the last deep crawl.

I'm a little concerned here. I too have a new site and have inbound links as well as have been visited by Google freshbot and the deepcrawl. However, I don't think I have ever been in the Google index! Even taking into account everflux :( As well, my site has only been visited by freshbot once? (But visited by deepcrawler a couple dozen times) Is that a problem? Any comments, suggestions would be appreciated! :)

Advice? For a new site, wait two months before worrying. Spend the time writing content, getting links, and optiizing your existing content. Ignore the update threads.

Freshbot fixation is the way to madness... (BTDT, got the T-shirt) :)

I guess what I'm really asking is based on the FACT that I got freshbotted by Google...would I have shown up in the Google index for a few milliseconds? (I'm being sarcastic here!). Does getting a new site freshbotted get you in the Google index for a short period of time due to Everflux? Thanks for your answers!

It will appear for a day or two and then disappear until the next freshbot crawl, throughout the month.
It will be in the permanent index after the first update after it was deepcrawled

Thanks Jon! sorry, I jumped the gun :) Dang, if it was indexed for two days..I didn't even know about it! Which means it musn't have been very high because I got ZERO visitors during that time from Google :(

Just another question here. Why was my site only freshbotted once? What would cause the fresh bot to come back for more? And it's not a case of having no new content because I add new content regularly!

As far as I know, higher PR = more visits.
I have a PR3 site which is never visited by Freshbot.
I spent last month getting a lot of inbound links so perhaps things will change after the next update, if there is one!

"next update if there is one" - as long as i can remember there has been one :-))

@all been visited by freshbot or having some inbound links from already indexed sites: you'll be happy. Just wait for the update.

Hi, you say that higher PR means more visits from FreshBot? But my site is NEW! I have ZERO PR! What gets freshbots to visit some new sites WAY more often and other new sites not so often? I have about 15 links pointing to my site and several from PR5 sites..I add content on a regular basis too...Anyone?

I think freshbot coming back so often to my site has to do with me constantly changing the site everyday (adding articles and links) but I could be wrong. I'm just glad I will make it in the index this time! :D

Well, I hope that we both get indexed this month! :) I'm still confused as to why freshbot doesn't visit my site more often..(just once so far?!). And I too change my site on almost a daily basis!

At the risk of making you feel even more paranoid and victimised, my site also has PR0 (uncalculated) because it's new. I get visited most days by freshbot and typically my new pages appear in the index within 3 days.
All I do is add articles as frequently as I can (usually every 2 days) and update my product selection every other day.
Can't think of any other reason why! Sorry...
