Google Groups tab (and web) and inbound links

Hi,

Does google consider -

a.) that either a plain text Absolute URL (without the <a href tag) or an active link to an external site (or both) contained in any news group post listed under the google groups tab as an inbound link to that external site?

b.) that a plain text absolute URL (without the <a href tag) to an external site as an inbound link to that external site? For "Google Web" tab searches?

Google groups is not indexed by Google, see [groups.google.com...] which has (amongst many others):

Disallow: /groups
