Adult sites and PR

Is there a PR modification on Adult sites.

Hi there all,

I have been told (I can't remember where) that there is a PR penalty of -2 for adult sites.

1) is this true?
2) how does google determine if a site is an adult site?
3) does anyone remember where this was mooted origionally?

That's not true, where did you read that?

I have a PR6 adult site and I'm pretty sure that I don't have a PR8 =)

Hmmm... I don't know about a Google penalty, but the ODP effect is different for Adult sites, because the Adult side of the directory starts at PR7 rather than PR8, and the Google Directory gives it a PR6 rather than PR8. This is purely down to the internal linking structures though. It does mean, however, that you won't get the usual PR boost from those sources.
