Google and opensource CMS

Is anybody having any success?

Can anybody tell me whether they are having any success with any opensource CMS scripts. I have hunted high and low looking for a good solution but am yet to find one. Maybe I am not looking in the right places.
Would welcome any feedback.

Only the CMS packages that put session IDs in the URLs would be likely to give Google "trouble" spidering I imagine.

For PHP-Nuke, you will have to use Apache's mod_rewrite to convert dynamic URLs to static (and searchable) ones. There are some threads on nukeforums about this.

I use movable type and have had no problems with google. I really dig it, too. It makes pages with reasonable URLs, and you can use it to make sites that don't look and act like they're generated from some cheesy tool. I don't know what you're looking for in a "CMS", but movable type may do it for you.

Or, look into bricolage. It's an HTML::Mason tool that will do most anything you please. It's slick.

openacs boggled my mind. I can't tell exactly how well it would work from browsing their web site.

Definitely MoveableType is a great package, and Bloxom looks promising, and is something I'm going to be playing with soon.
