Fresh Tag shows major improvement

For my #1 keyword, Google now shows us at the number
10 position, up from about 60 last week. However the
description is still old, everything else looks refreshed exception the description, what doesn't freshbot pickup the new description?

Are you talking about the meta description tag, or the description shown in the snippet? They don't always show the site description from the meta tag, and sometimes that snippet description can stay the same though several page changes, after a couple of regular updates.
