webmaster@google.com doesn't work

Re: reinclusion request

On March 6th, Google Guy mentioned:

"you can send an email to webmaster@google.com with the subject line reinclusion request."

I've made several attempts to send my request to this email address, but it keeps coming back with "Can't deliver. This is a permanent error".

I want to make sure that my reinclusion request reaches the right department at Google.

<snip> is there another address I can email to?

Thanks in advance,

Buddy

I made this same request for one of my site's and mailed webmaster@google.com on the 6th, and got a reply on the 10th saying they will review my site for reinclusion. E-mail address worked fine then.

While on the subject, since I got that "we will review your site" reply, was I supposed to get any other e-mail? Like saying "yeah looks good" or "no, try again" or do I just wait till the update and see what happens? I mean, I KNOW the site is perfect now, just wondering what will happen next? Thanks.

Sorry, we just discovered the problem is with our email service and not Google's email address.

Please ignore request.

Thanks

Hey Perfection,

I got a similar reply and I too was wondering about whether I'd eventually get something else back or not. I expect that the update might be the time things may happen.

I often wonder whether Google in fact don't use communications like "reinclusion requests" to identify all "the over-optimizers" out there (sigh).

My experience if it helps

I sent one recently, just got an auto-reply, followed by a mail confirming simply that 'your page has not been manually removed' or something similar, after?a week,?10 days then, site came back in in the next update at PR4.

If i think i have been penalised (dropped down a lot of pages) but not banned, having corrected the problem do i still send a reinclusion request, because i have not really been excluded?
