Wierd ranking behaviour

My website was once 1st place in google if u search for [google.com...]

But during the last few days of every month, my old url is being displayed in the search results "www.xbbdesign.com/xmb/" not the new url "www.smsmasters.co.uk" which was shown earlier this month... Is this the start of the dance? Why is my ranking so unstable - it goes up and down and sometimes it's not even listed...
