Google news listings bleeding over to regular listings.

Just noticed this about google. If you do a search for something (NOT in news.google.com) that also happens to be in the news lately, you get a bunch of recent news articles instead of websites.

For example, I did a search for "Karbala Gap" and the whole first page of results are recent news articles.

If freshbot is content neutral, as I assume it is, when it finds links on high PR news sites it will add them. "Karbala Gap" is so non-competitive I'd expect these to do well.
