My new website will be deep crawled by Gooble this time around. As it's been going through the standard temporary crawls, I've noticed the home page is ranked 72 for its target search phrase.

Now I know by the content, backward links, meta tags, keywords, etc. this site should be appearing in the top 20.

My question. Since this site does not have a PR yet, is it being temporarily placed far down? Will it step up to its appropriate position once it becomes ranked during the deep crawl? OR....do you typically see the temporary crawl placement as the final placement when the deep crawl is finished?

I'm fearful I've missed something.

It's #72 on "Gooble", eh? :)

This isn't the Y! store that's in your profile is it?

I think if you have no pagerank it follows after you get bumped in pagerank your ranking should go up.

It may take 2 indexes for links to 'kick in'- I've read around here.

I'm fearful I've missed something.

Well, even if you did- there's always next month. Even if you missed something it's too late now for this upcoming update. So, it is what it is this time around. When you see the results you can post back and get suggestions if they aren't as good as you think they should be.
